Day 02: Siem Reap, Angkor Temples (The 1st World Heritage Site) (B,L)
We will enjoy the first UNESCO World Heritage site of Indochina, a master work of ancient Khmer Architecture and the biggest religious relics in the world as well.
Begin the enjoyable day with a visit to the temple of King Jayavarman Vll, the Angkor’s greatest king. Angkor Thom Temple is an extremely massive structure which was built at the end of the 12th century under dynasty of King Jayavarman Vll. It is surrounded by a square wall of 8 meters high with five 20 meter long monumental gates decorated with stone elephant trunks. Formerly, the moat was said to be the place of plentiful wicked crocodiles and each gate was protected by huge statues of 54 gods in the legend.

Another attractive site in Siem Riep is The Bayon. In spite of not being too impressive as Angkor Wat, The Bayon is still incredibly gorgeous for its maze of corridors, gothic style towers and magical central temples with 1200 meters of the finest bas-reliefs depicting scenes of the daily life in 12th century in Cambodia.
Afterward, from Angkor Thom we will hit in Phimeanakas, located in the middle of the old Royal Palace area, and to the Terrace of Elephants and the Leper King.  We continue with our exploration with a visit to Ta Phrom, a temple half consumed by the Cambodian jungle and famous in the west as the film location for “Tomb Raider”.
Then, we will enjoy the lunch at a local Cambodian restaurant where you have the chance to taste some of the delicious local food.
In the afternoon we will visit the very famous temple Angkor Wat – the best known and most spectacular of all the sights, and the highlight of the journey to Angkor. At first, it was built as a funerary temple for Suryavarman ll in honor of Vishnu. It is a very large and dramatic structure with the extensive and intricately carved bas-reliefs that stretch throughout the galleries and inner temples.
Please note: The city tour is flexible. Our guide will be more delighted to adjust the itinerary to suit your demand. You can skip one spot or add another if you’d love to.

Day 03: Siem Reap further discovery, Luang Prabang, Laos by flight (B,L)
Optional: Wake up early this morning and enjoy the sunrise against the Angkor Wat, showing its endless beauty.
Getting away early from Siem Reap and after a two-hour driving to the northeast, we will stop at the 10th century capital of Koh Ker. While there are about 200 temples in this ancient city, only 96 have been detected and maybe your morning is likely to be spent at just one-Prasat Thom. At the far end of Prasat Thom there is a pyramid, which somewhat reminds of Mayan or Inca architecture.
After watching several surrounding temples, we are back up the direction of Siem Reap, dropping in to explore another of the lesser visited temples – Beng Mealea, similar size to the famous brother Angkor Wat Temple. Almost being overwhelmed by the jungle, and with very little restoration, it is not difficult to come out what will happen for raw explorers discovering these temples for the first time. We will come back the hotel in the late afternoon where our day tour ends.
In the evening you will be picked from the hotel and transferred to the Siem Reap airport in order to approach Luang Prabang, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival you will be met by the local guide and driver and transferred to your hotel for check in.
