Important Notice: Digital Arrival Declaration Introduced at Tan Son Nhat International Airport

Effective from: April 15, 2026

To improve arrival procedures and reduce waiting times, the Vietnamese Immigration Department has launched a new Digital Pre-Arrival Declaration system for international travelers entering Vietnam through Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.

1. Who Is Required to Complete It?

This regulation applies to:

  • Foreign travelers visiting Vietnam for tourism, business, or other purposes.
  • Overseas Vietnamese entering with a valid visa or visa exemption certificate.

(Note: Vietnamese passport holders and transit passengers who remain within the airport are not required to complete this declaration.)

2. How to Complete the Declaration

To ensure a smooth and efficient arrival, travelers are encouraged to complete the process 24–48 hours before departure.

Step 1: Access the Platform
Visit the official website: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn/ or scan the QR code available at airport check-in counters.

Step 2: Enter Your Details
Fill in the required information, including passport details, flight information, and accommodation in Vietnam.

Step 3: Save Your QR Code
After submission, a unique entry QR code will be generated. Make sure to download or screenshot it on your mobile device.

Step 4: Present at Immigration
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, present your QR code along with your passport to immigration officers for faster processing.

3. Benefits for Travelers

This new digital system is part of Vietnam’s efforts to modernize its travel experience. By completing your declaration in advance, you can:

  • Eliminate paperwork: No need to fill out arrival forms at the airport.
  • Speed up entry procedures: Spend less time waiting in immigration queues.
  • Enjoy a smoother arrival: Begin your journey in Vietnam more quickly and comfortably.

Travel Tips from Our Team

  • Keep it offline: Save your QR code on your phone or in your digital wallet in case of unstable Wi-Fi at the airport.
  • Check for accuracy: Ensure all personal details match your passport exactly to avoid delays.
  • Get assistance if needed: If you’re traveling with a private tour, on-site support teams can help guide you through arrival procedures.

Start Your Journey with Ease

With these new improvements, Vietnam is making travel more convenient and welcoming than ever. If you’re seeking a personalized, high-end travel experience, now is the perfect time to explore curated journeys designed around your interests.
